Ben Rand
Senior Advisor
Ben Rand is a Series 3 Commodity Broker, Series 30 Branch Manager and Licensed Insurance agent in over 20 states. Prior to his entrance into risk management, Ben was an Intelligence Collector for the department of defense and is fluent in Dari, Farsi and Arabic. Ben has held Commodity Broker and Branch manager positions within Cargill and now Blue Line Futures. During his time at Cargill, Ben also originated grain into various Cargill assets and their joint ventures across the western corn belt. Since 2014 Ben has filled several roles in Risk Management to include agent roles at his family-owned agency and The Home Agency. Ben has been committed to helping educate and provide risk management solutions for Livestock and Row Crop producers across the nation.

Oliver Sloup
Senior Advisor
Oliver Sloup is the Co-Founder of Blue Line Ag Hedge and Blue Line Futures, a futures and commodities brokerage firm located at the Chicago Board of Trade. Originally from Nebraska, Oliver found his niche in the agricultural markets where he works with hedgers of all shapes and sizes to help manage risk. He started his career as a broker at Lind Waldock’s Chicago Board of Trade office before the company was later purchased by MF Global. Following that experience, Oliver moved to New York City to focus on managed futures. Oliver has also provided regular insight for various news outlets including RFD-TV, AgWeb, AgriTalk, CNBC, and Fox Business, among others.

Matthew Bresnahan
Senior Advisor
Matthew began his career as a Market Analyst with Trilateral, Inc., which specialized in ingredient procurement and commodity price risk management for middle market food manufacturing enterprises. As such, Matthew has extensive experience in both the cash procurement and commodity price risk management for commercial end-users of agricultural, livestock, soft, and energy commodities. At Blue Line, Matthew now works directly with agricultural producers, commodity intermediaries, end-users and speculators with the goal of providing a unique perspective on commodity markets deeply rooted in both fundamental and technical analysis.
